hummingbirds

Hummingbirds - is there anything in the animal world remotely like a hummingbird with it's feverish pace? Maybe toddler children although hummingbirds are much quieter. My own children have been amazed to see these creatures. Whether or not you have children of your own if you have a garden and you have a desire to attract these fine feathered friends of ours take a look at the newest article Designing Your Garden to Attract Hummingbirds in which we offer ideas on how best to design for these creatures. Happy humming!

Are hummingbirds different in any part of the US? What kind of senses
do they have? How do they navigate
so fast?

I find it absolutely amazing at just how territorial these little fluterers can be. I have seen them pitch and dodge each other with a ferocity no less than any large animal defending it's turf! Quite a sight to see, very hard to photograph!
