Introducing KitchenMatters.com

For several weeks I have been hinting at new sites and tonight I am happy to take a moment to introduce to everyone the first in what will be a family of websites belonging to us and hopefully providing quality content and timely advice to our visitors.

http://www.KitchenMatters.com is the first to be released in a group of sites we are working on. It wasn't too long after garden-helper was begun before it became clear that there is a strong connection between gardening and kitchen matters. We see it in the Garden-Helper forums and we see it in many of the email we receive.

We will continue to work on the garden-helper kitchen related content, but there will be far more of this kind of content on the new KitchenMatters.com website.

There are multiple updates to the KitchenMatters.com website slated over the next two weeks as well as multiple updates to Garden-Helper.com. We are currently looking for folks who would like to contribute content to either site so if you read this blog and you enjoy gardening or cooking or have ideas for other sites that can adapt to the Learn, Share, Plan, Shop model then we want to hear from you.

Wishing you the best and looking forward to providing even more for you,

Ed

The December Gardening Calendar and Podcast is now up on the site. Hopefully Santa will forgive the podcast being a bit late....

Square Foot Garden Salad

Many of us grow greens and other salad goodies without giving much thought to the yield and balance between plantings. Using the Square Foot Gardening method you can create a perfect blend of salad ingredients and we have created a new article entitled Square Foot Garden Salad which details how to accomplish this.

Garden Accessories

Well it has been quite some while since any updates have been made to the site, and a brief explanation is in order.

If you read the very first post in the Garden-Helper blog you will know that when I began the site it was in some ways in reaction to personal tragedy. This past couple weeks have been focused on dealing with that tragedy.

It is now behind me and my focus is again on Garden-Helper.

There has been work behind the scenes going on which will allow for much greater user interaction with the site and I hope to roll this out within the next couple weeks. In the meantime I have posted a new article about Garden Accessories on the site.

There are four more articles in the hopper to be released shortly and some updates to the shopping section. When the user account work is finished there will be site-wide changes allowing for you to post responses to the content we produce and offer your own content as well.

Susan and I have also been working on two entirely new websites which we will announce within a couple weeks when they are ready to launch.
