What to Plant in December

December is a busy month for most people with the holidays taking on most of our free time. Typically most folks don't spend much time in the garden in December, but rather are more likely to be thumbing gardening catalogs for next years' plans. But so long as the soil can be worked or space exists for indoors starts there are still some plants which can be started for spring this month.

We have compiled this list of plants to be sown, transplated or otherwise added to your garden in December. Taken alongside the December gardening calendar and podcast we hope this helps to provide much of the information you need to be successful this month. As always we continue to create new Plant Pages and eventually will offer information on every plant we have in our monthly planting guides.
